The San Francisco Four Seasons Hotel is a short stroll from the Powell BART Station and is a luxury hotel with classy customer service and lots of thick carpet. The main entry lacks an automatic door but you can almost always find a doorman ready to assist you. Take the elevators up to the lobby floor to check-in at a lowered counter off to the right.

This level is also where the restaurant and bar are located along with a smoking terrace on the opposite end. The smart/causal restaurant is particularly popular for brunch. The bar has a number of tables but does not have a lowered bar section. The restroom in this area has an automatic door for both the main entry and stall door. The hotel also has a spa if you are looking for a massage, facial, or other pampering service as well as a very large gym and a pool equipped with a lift.

The Four Seasons Hotel has a total of 17 ADA rooms, 10 of which are wheelchair accessible with both a bathtub and roll-in shower. The others just have a bathtub. Deluxe rooms and even an executive suite are also wheelchair accessible options. One of the standard wheelchair friendly rooms was #910 where everything was quite spacious including the entry, despite the heavy door, with access to the main amenities.

In the hallway you can access the bathroom door, which if open does not leave enough clearance to pass. The toilet with grab-bars allows for a front or side transfer with plenty of space for any kind of wheelchair. The sink is a semi-roll-up as some may feel hindered by the design. Next to the sink are both the bathtub and roll-in shower and both have grab-bars and hand-held shower nozzles. Around the corner was the bed. The bed is height is approximately 29 inches but the fluffy bedspread makes it a bit higher. If too high, then simply call the front desk to have maintenance modify it. Furthermore, access to the bed is possible on either side and bedside lamps have dimmer switches to turn on and off.
