Whether summer or winter, Lake Tahoe is one of California's most visited locations and a spectacular wonder of this beautiful country. Each season has a different face; a new canvas to explore. Let me show you Lake Tahoe. Traveling around Lake Tahoe in a wheelchair involves skill, awareness and patience Especially in the winter, approach ramps more with caution. Handicapped parking is all over and for the ease of moving with without crowds, I suggest avoiding holiday weekends.

I recommend staying in South Lake Tahoe when traveling to this destination. There are cemented walkways that go for miles along casinos (Nevada, South Lake Tahoe), restaurants, hotels and shops, like in the Heavenly Village. In the winter time expect some snow on the ground and to travel at a slower and more caution pace. Read more about Lake Tahoe and share your travels.

Heavenly Village is a center hub for South Lake Tahoe. There are a number of restaurants, jewelry merchants, retail stores, bars, and a variety of outdoor related merchandise. In the center of Heavenly Village is the gondola that takes skiers and snowborders up to the Heavenly Ski Lodge; however, it is great just to ride to take in the spectacular views of Lake Tahoe from so high up.
